Zafiro Hotels participated in the "I Desafío en Marcha contra el Cáncer"
At Zafiro Hotels, our mission goes beyond creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. As an active part of the community, we feel a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of others and to support causes that uplift society as a whole. Our participation in the "I Desafío en Marcha contra el Cáncer" held yesterday in Palma, where members of the #ZafiroTeam took part, is a strong example of this commitment.
This meaningful event, organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in the Balearic Islands (AECC Baleares) and the Mallorca Hotel Federation (FEHM), represents a pioneering step by the Balearic hotel industry in supporting the fight against cancer. The day was filled with energy, compassion, and unity—not only in the fight against cancer but also in solidarity with the Valencia region, where food and essential supplies were gathered for those in need.
The event featured two options: an 8km race and a 4.5km walk, with nearly 60 participants from Zafiro Hotels alone. We are proud to be one of the hotel groups that contributed significantly to the joint fundraising total of over €17,000—all of which will be directed entirely towards cancer research.
Joining Forces for a Better Future
Cancer is a disease that affects millions of people worldwide, and we are convinced that, through solidarity and collaboration, we can make a real difference. This is why Zafiro Hotels is not only a supporter of this initiative but also an active participant.
Aligned with World Breast Cancer Awareness Day, this initiative aims to raise awareness and show societal support for cancer patients, as well as to honor the work of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in assisting patients, families, and advancing oncological research.
