Let's start with the basics. These are essential every time we decide to spend a day on the beach. The basics are sunscreen, a swimsuit, sunglasses, towel or sarong, sunshade and, very importantly, water. If you want to keep the water cold for a long time without taking along a heavy cooler bag, we recommend you place half-full bottles in the freezer the night before, and then fill them up just before leaving home. This will help keep it colder for longer.

If you are one of those people who like to just laze around and relax on the beach, you won’t need much else. Well, your phone and headphones maybe, so you can listen to your favourite music while you watch the world go by. If you like to be more active, Zafiro Hotels suggests you could continue filling your bag with goggles and a snorkel, a good book, some spades, a boomerang or some French bowls balls for a game or two.
