The wonderful climate of Palmanova

Mallorca & Menorca Guide

Palmanova, being one of the most important tourist destinations on the island, has a privileged climate. We tell you more about its Mediterranean climate.

A privileged climate in Palmanova

Palmanova is on the golden south coast of Calvia and has been one of the top tourist destinations in Mallorca for some years. Its long beach of fine white sand with crystal clear waters, its close proximity to the capital of Mallorca and its relaxed but lively atmosphere makes this part of the Mallorcan paradise an ideal place to enjoy a family holiday or with your partner or friends. Hundreds of tourists flock to Palmanova every year since its wonderful climate allows you to enjoy holidays virtually every month of the year but its high season is June, July and August.

Nevertheless, thanks to the Mediterranean climate of Palmanova even in April and May residents and tourists alike can enjoy the beach and the terraces begin to fill up as the temperatures rise after a cool and damp Winter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvbdS9j_0pU The tourists who come to Palmanova in the winter take advantage of the cooler temperatures to see more of inland Mallorca or take long walks along the coast or stroll through the historic parts of Palma or go out on the bike or do some hiking or go to see the blossoming almond trees.

Palmanova is only a few minutes by car from Palma de Mallorca which makes it the perfect destination to enjoy a holiday in which you can mix a bit of relaxation in Palmanova with a bit of liveliness in Palma where you will find streets full of shops, restaurants, bars and shopping malls.  If you are planning a holiday to Palmanova then book the hotel Zafiro Palmanova and lets us make your holiday stress free, we will take of everything whilst all you have to do is enjoy yourself.

Palmanova, located at one end of the Bay of Palma, and has a mild and temperate climate with an annual average temperature of 16.5 ° C and annual average precipitation of 410 mm. The summers are long and hot during the summer months, you can enjoy an average temperature of 27 ° C occasionally reaching up to 40 ° C. so don´t forget your sunscreen! On the one hand, as we have mentioned, we have a warm and dry summer with very few changes in pressure little or no rainfall during these months. And, on the other hand, we have a wet and cool winter, January being the coldest month, the winters are very mild in comparison to the snow and freezing weather in other European countries which is many tourists come to Palma Nova to escape the cold temperatures in their homelands. Rain falls approx. 51 days a day which means that in Palmanova the sun shines 2756 hours a year!

From November until the month of April the temperatures are lower and frosts are a rare occurrence but the best part of the winter is that the climate allows visitors to Mallorca to enjoy the island without the summer crowds, traffic jams and crowded streets.
