Golfing tales and legends in Mallorca 

Two-time Masters champion and one of Spain’s greatest golfing legends, José María Olazábal has long been a familiar face at tournaments in Mallorca. He made history at the Balearic Open in 1988, where he played a memorable final against Seve Ballesteros. In 1990, it was the turn of Seve Ballesteros to make history in Mallorca with one of his most iconic victories at the Balearic Open, held at Son Vida Golf. In a dramatic finish, the legendary Cantabrian golfer secured his win on the 18th hole - a spectacular par-5 dogleg, clinching victory in a tense play-off. His charisma and natural talent made every tournament a show, and his deep connection to the island remains etched in the memories of golf fans. 

The list of great golfers who have visited Mallorca to perfect their swing includes icons such as Tiger Woods and Jon Rahm.
