The soul of rural Mallorca

Rest, nature and culture

Known for its fertile soil and potato farming, Sa Pobla offers visitors a journey into the authentic lifestyle of the island. Lying at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains and just a short distance from some of the finest beaches, it’s an ideal destination for travellers seeking peace and authenticity.

The beauty of rural Mallorca

Located in the island interior, very near Pollença and its beautiful bay, Sa Pobla is a town that is brimming with character. Surrounded by fields and farms, but with a very select ambience which also cultivates culture and the typical Mediterranean lifestyle. A place that invites you to discover the more authentic side of the island.

Located on the fertile plain of Pla de Mallorca, Sa Pobla is a town that has managed to preserve its roots while also embracing modernity. The days here are synchronised with the rhythm of nature. The centre of town is full of typical Mallorcan streets, churches and squares, along with locals just going about their daily lives. The outskirts of town are surrounded by fields full of crops, olive groves, vineyards and holm-oak forests that further enhance its beauty. A unique location in Mallorca that encourages visitors to embrace the serenity.

What to see near Sa Pobla:

  • Church of Sant Antoni Abat: one of the most impressive 17th century baroque churches in Mallorca. Located in the centre of the village.
  • Tour of the historic centre: the town square and cobbled streets are home to numerous bars and restaurants where you can savour an authentic “variat”, a combination of different Mallorcan tapas.
  • S'Albufera Nature Reserve: perfect for nature lovers, it also offers several trails that run through the wetlands and are great for bird watching.
  • Campanet Caves: just a 10-minute drive away, these underground caves include a 400-metre path full of spectacular stalagmites and stalactites.
