At the beginning of September, Santa Ponsa hosts the King Jaime festival, which commemorates the landing on the island of King Jaime I in 1229 and the beginning of the reconquest of Mallorca. The festival includes a simulation of a battle between Moors and Christians on the beach, a medieval market, parades and live music. Don’t miss this very colourful and folkloric event!
