As part of its firm commitment to implementing a superior quality environmental policy, Zafiro Hotels has equipped its new luxury Zafiro Palace Andratx Hotel, scheduled to open in April 2021, with state-of-the-art technology to automatically measure carbon-dioxide (CO2) levels in all public areas and rooms to guarantee appropriate ventilation at all times. Air quality, avoiding CO2 build-ups and remaining within the parameters recommended by health authorities, not only ensures greater well-being and comfort for guests and employees, but also reduces health risks in the current sanitary situation.
This new luxury hotel thus becomes the first hotel on the island of Mallorca to automatically monitor air quality in its indoor spaces. The engineering team in charge of implementing the new system has always prioritised the most ambitious policies with regard to the environment and energy conservation from the very beginning of the hotel construction. Within the current context, and given the importance of the new health protocols introduced to reduce the impact of the pandemic, this policy is a positive affirmation of the model that Zafiro Hotels is applying as it grows.
Thanks to innovative sensors designed by the Mallorcan company RobotBAS, specialists in automation technologies, the hotel will be able to guarantee an appropriate environment at all times. The sensors will initially not be visible to guests and will be installed in all of the hotel suites, restaurants and public areas. If they detect any increase in levels above those recommended by the authorities, an alarm system will notify the hotel maintenance team so that they can intervene and rectify the situation.
“In addition to providing the most efficient response to new needs arising from the current situation, the implementation of this cutting-edge technology reaffirms the Zafiro Hotels commitment to providing quality experiences for our guests, one of the missions of our company," says Antonia Plomer, CEO and owner of Zafiro Hotels.
