Three-day triathlon: Long Course Weekend Mallorca returns in October

For the third year running, Alcudia is preparing to host Long Course Weekend Mallorca, a triathlon event that this year has an even more flexible format than in previous years. This year athletes can choose between the three disciplines and different distances over the three days, including a new format called the "Half Long Course Weekend".

This year, we expect to attract even more participants than the more than one thousand people that took part last year, of which almost half were women. This is a unique triathlon event, with a spectacular route that has been attracting more and more people from all over the world year after year. Three intense days of competition with a focus on a different one of the three disciplines every day.

• Swim Day: On Saturday, October 26, the swimming event begins on the beach at Puerto de Alcudia with athletes able to choose distances of 750, 1500, 1900 or 3800 metres.


• Bike Day: Sunday 27 is the day to get on your bike and pedal the 172km or 86km routes that both begin and end in Alcudia, passing through villages in the Mallorcan interior such as Sa Pobla, Muro, Sineu or Llubí.


• Run Day: Monday 28 sees the last of the events, with a running race around the fantastic Alcudia Bay with four different options: 5, 10, 21 or 42km.

The competition is aimed at both experienced triathletes who want to improve their personal best and more amateur triathletes who want to enjoy a unique experience cycling in Mallorca, running and swimming. Why not give it a go?
