Sailing on an electric “llaüt” 

Having the chance to view the coastline of Mallorca from the sea is an exceptional experience, and even more so if you have the chance to do it in a sustainable “llaüt”, a traditional Mallorcan boat now fitted with a fully electric motor and totally respectful of the marine ecosystem. 

Many Mallorcan families take to the sea in their “llaüts”, particularly on Sundays. It’s their way of enjoying the sea with family and friends in the most exceptional setting, surrounded by the serene turquoise waters of the most beautiful coves on the island.  

At the Zafiro Palace Andratx, the sailing trips on an electric “llaüt” are only for guests and will be available every Friday from June to September. The boat has been designed by the traditional “Mestres d'Aixa”, and is equipped with an innovative electric motor that makes it extremely silent and completely emission-free. Ideal for savouring all the immense beauty of the coast without hardly causing a ripple. 

There are 3 different trips available, with their cost depending on their duration.  

• The morning at sea (from 10am to 2pm) is perfect for enjoying the beautiful island light in the morning and its crystal-clear waters.  

• The sunset trip is the shortest (7pm to 9:30pm), ideal for enjoying the sunset from a very privileged viewpoint.  

• The full-day trip (from 10am to 6pm) is best suited to the most adventurous visitors and those that really love the sea. 

Boarding in Camp de Mar with a maximum of 6 people, the “llaüt” departs from the beach near the hotel and then sails along the entire southwest coast, stopping off at the Malgrats Islands, the Costa de la Calma and Cala Fornells. An area full of stunning scenery and coves that can only be reached from the sea. 

In addition to marvelling at all the immense natural beauty along the route, you also have the chance to try a wide range of activities in the water included in the experience. You can swim into secret coves, try stand up paddle, use the underwater scooter or the snorkelling gear… there’s also an option to book a Mallorcan picnic to enjoy on board including a number of typical local products.

• The Sailing Days service can only be booked by guests at the Zafiro Palace Andratx.  

• As there are a limited number of places, bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance through the Concierge team at the hotel. 

• Guests must be in the boarding area 15 to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. 

Romantic dinner with wine pairing for two 

If you are a bit of a foodie and love a great dining experience, this one should definitely be on your list. The Zafiro Palace Andratx has designed a romantic dinner menu for two people with wine pairings which is a truly extraordinary experience. This pleasure for the palate is available to all hotel guests at an extra cost, but is included in the stay for guests at the Zafiro Club. 

The dinner consists of a tasting menu with luxurious products and ingredients combined with the most appropriate wine from the hotel's extensive wine cellar.  

In addition to being something truly special that adds the perfect ending to the day, the dinner also invites you to enjoy Mediterranean evenings in the most intimate setting, with soft and unobtrusive lighting, candles, aromatic plants and uninterrupted views of the bay and night sky. 

The menu includes some of the most sophisticated dishes, such as micuit duck with a raspberry topping and raf tomato spherification; deep-sea jumbo prawns cooked in their juice; venison tournedo with a forest fruit demi-glace; turbot steak on kohlrabi and apple purée... all accompanied by delicious garnishes and magnificent wines and champagnes, such as the Gran Pazo de Barrantes (DO Rias Baixas), Marqués de Riscal “XR” Reserva 2017 (DO Rioja) or Taittinger Brut Reserve (Champagne, France).

Germaine de Capuccini spa treatments 

The Zafiro Palace Andratx holiday experience revolves around a feeling of well-being. In addition to providing food trucks serving healthy meals and an extensive activities programme to help guests stay in shape, the spa and wellness area is an oasis of relaxation, perfect for disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with your inner self.  

The Gem is a place to relax and enjoy the sauna, Turkish bath or pools with water jets, and it’s also a place where you have the chance to treat yourself to personalised beauty sessions designed by the prestigious Germaine de Capuccini brand. 

Here are some of the most exclusive treatments included in the choice of beauty rituals: 

• The celebrities ritual: This is a professional anti-fatigue treatment using Vitamin C, and one of the most exclusive rituals offered by the Germaine de Capuccini brand. It has been designed to add brightness and vitality to the skin as part of a complete facial rejuvenation. 

• The magic of the silk road: 110 minutes of pampering and total care. The therapy includes a full massage with exfoliating properties that is reminiscent of the sea. Once all the skin has been prepared, it is wrapped in a layer of nutrients that resemble the feel of a silk wrap (which is how the treatment got its name). The result is an experience which guarantees perfect harmony between mind and body. 

• Sensuality and care: This is another of the exclusive luxury rituals offered by Germaine de Capuccini. This treatment uses baobab oil and pure Flor d'Es Trenc sea salt, produced locally on the salt flats in Ses Salines in the south of Mallorca. This is a holistic therapy that focuses on the head and neck, relieving tension and nourishing the scalp.
