Palmira beach in Peguera is quite similar to Santa Ponsa, it is one of those wonderful sandy beaches ideal for children, a bit smaller than Santa Ponsa, with crystal clear and calm waters, especially in the morning and again has a very good atmosphere at night. The beach of Peguera has all the services you need and it is very well maintained. It is popular with the tourists because of the quality of its waters, its security and the high standard of services it offers.
The beach of Palmanova is closer to Palma and extends out in front of the Zafiro Palmanova. It is of just over a kilometre long, which makes it one of the best beaches in Mallorca for quiet walks along its shore line. It is another of those beaches of fine white sand, so typical of Mallorca and located in the urbanization of the same name Palmanova in Calvia. Palmanova is known for its wide range of hotels and services and the beach is of the same high standard as the rest of Palmanova: you can rent sunbeds and beach umbrellas, pedal boats for the sea and it even offers the chance of going in semi-submersible and all other types of nautical activities.

Calvia also has little hidden coves which are located far away from the mundane noise that are worth visiting if what you want is a respite from it all. Es Caló des Monjo is the natural border between Calvia and Andratx in the west of Mallorca. It is a small rocky cove with crystal clear water with no hotels around there are never many people, which is why it is a nudist beach, ideal for relaxing and easily accessed by car until you reach Cala Fornells from here you need follow a simple path for about 1km until you reach Caló des Monjo. Also, near to Cala Fornells we find another isolated cove which is easy to get to Caló de ses Llises is a pebble beach surrounded by high cliffs, there is huge rock in the water which is used as platform for swimmers, it is located in a residential zone and very quiet.
The unmissable beaches of Calvia
There are still plenty more sandy beaches worth visiting, such as the beach at Portals Vells, very close to the hotel Zafiro Palace Palmanova. The first of the three beaches of the village of Portals Vells, is the most well-known, here at Portals Vells beach you will find a restaurant, umbrellas and hammocks to rent and it also has disabled access. On foot from here you can get to the beach of El Mago, the first nudist beach in the municipality of Calvia, it is a cove with a story to tell it was named after a 1960´s movie “ The Magician”, which was shot on location at the beach, starring Anthony Quinn and Michael Caine. Another beach worthy of a visit is the King's Beach, a fine-grained sandy beach with clear and calm waters.
A small cove with a pine forest where it´s ideal have a picnic or to take a good nap in the shade. Finally, there is the beach of Cala Fornells a corner of Calvia that maintains the tranquillity that is so typical of Mallorca and the Balearics.
