Mallorca for couples
There is an endless range of things to enjoy on Mallorca as a couple: you could come back to the island year after year and always find something you have not seen before. The island changes a lot depending on what time of year you decide to come for a visit. We would suggest summer or autumn, which on Mallorca usually lasts until well into November.
At Zafiro Hotel's Mallorca hotels there are always plenty of experiences to enjoy as a couple during your holiday: a wellness getaway for 2, a 5-star weekend... You do the dreaming, and we make sure it comes true.
To start dreaming big, here is a small guide to the most romantic coves on Mallorca.
1.- La Victoria Coves
The area La Victoria is a local stronghold where you can enjoy the marvellous beauty of the Bay of Pollença surrounded by a tranquillity that is difficult to find elsewhere on the island. There are several coves with rocks and pebbles here, not crowded at all and away from the hubbub. It is an ideal spot for enjoying a bath in the incredible, crystal-clear waters. If you prefer a sandy beach you should opt for the cove S'Illot, also known for being the La Victoria hermitage cove. There is a shaded picnic area nearby, perfect for a romantic meal, as well as a restaurant. The sunset at S'Illot is a true delight.
2.- Aucanada Beach
Away from the more touristy areas and surrounded by pleasant Mediterranean pine forest, Aucanada beach is one of the most romantic coves in the Bay of Alcudia. Located on the small peninsula Coll Baix, it offers privileged views of the entire coastline with a nice and calm atmosphere, ideal for taking a bath and enjoying a quiet rest under the trees. The location near the Alcanada Golf Club means that the area is completely natural and protected from the hustle and bustle. Also, if you are staying at one of our hotels in Port d'Alcudia it is only a walk away.
3.- Cala Torta
If you continue along the north coast towards the east, you will be able to enjoy one of the most romantic coves on the Mallorcan east coast, near Artá: Cala Torta. It is an unspoilt cove with fine, white sand – surrounded by nature and not very large in size. To get here you have to go by car from Artá (10 km) and then walk down a path to the beach. This makes it a quiet cove, especially in spring and autumn, and it retains that spectacular natural beauty of Mallorca in the olden days.
4.- Cala Tuent
From the north coast we jump straight to the Serra de Tramuntana to introduce you to the most romantic and beautiful cove in the area. Cala Tuent, near Escorca, is an unspoilt cove surrounded by cliffs that abound with Mediterranean vegetation and lies far from the crowds and noise of other beaches and coves on Mallorca. This is a mountain landscape with crystal-clear water and cliffs that shape this unique cove where you can relax and enjoy the easy life.
5.- Cala Romántica
We must, of course, include Cala Romántica on our list. Perhaps it is not the most romantic cove on Mallorca, but the bay Ses Estany d'en Mas is one of the most paradisiacal corners of the island's east coast. In this area there is not just one cove to enjoy, but three: Cala Romántica, Cala Anguila and Cala Medina. It is a more built-up area than the previous ones, but that also means you have all kinds of service here as you plan for your couple’s day out.
Which one have you chosen for a visit? All of them, right? Seize the opportunity with our offers for hotels on Mallorca and come celebrate love on this magical island.
