Zafiro Hotels introduces Relax & Care, a new travel insurance policy that includes extensive medical coverage and free cancellation insurance only for customers who book through direct channels.

Born of a desire to adapt and grow in line with the needs of its customers, Zafiro Hotels has announced the launch of Relax & Care, a new travel insurance policy that includes extensive medical coverage and free cancellation insurance only for customers who book through direct channels.
The policy accompanies the Zafiro Always Caring safety protocols and thus extends protection for Zafiro Hotels customers during their stay, bringing all the flexibility and peace of mind required to encourage guests to enjoy their next holiday in any of the company’s 12 hotels. The new Relax & Care insurance is automatically added to all bookings made through the official Zafiro Hotels website or its Customer Care centre, allowing customers to benefit completely free of charge from two major advantages:
- Medical and health coverage of up to €30,000 for any illness during their stay (including Covid-19), as well as reimbursement for any holidays not taken, repatriation expenses or expenses caused by an extension of stay for medical reasons.
- Reimbursement of cancellation fees up to €6,000 (for bookings made at Non-Refundable or Semi-Flexible rates) in more than twenty different circumstances, such as serious illness of both the customer or their travel companions and theft of documentation or luggage, among others.
The new benefit has been created with the help of technology developed by the Valencian start-up company FlexmyRoom. "This is a measure we have been working on for some time due to all the legal, administrative and technological implications it involves, but we were really clear that it was a service that we wanted to offer our guests in 2021. We hope it helps ensure that our guests have even greater peace of mind when travelling, something which customers are increasingly demanding this year”, declared the Sales Director of the chain, Antoni Homar.
