Es Trenc

We kick off this ranking of the best beaches on Mallorca with the most well-known of all, and one of the most pristine beaches found throughout the archipelago: Es Trenc. This sandy beach extends along the southern part of the island for more than two kilometres and looks like one of those paradisical beaches of the Caribbean: all shallow, crystal-clear water and fine white sand. Part of the beach offers a nudist area.

Cala Mondragó

Located on the island’s southeast coast, within the Mondragó Natural Park – one of Mallorca's nature reserves – this beach that also goes by the name Sa Font d'en Alís offers 75 metres of fine sand and turquoise, perfectly clear water ideal for snorkelling. Right next to it is the Cala de S'Amarador, smaller but also very beautiful. Both are far from built-up areas and surrounded by nature.

Playa de El Mago

Historically speaking, Playa de El Mago is one of Mallorca's most characteristic beaches. Located on the west coast, very close to the beaches Palmanova, and Magaluf, but hidden away in a natural setting of cliffs and Mediterranean pine trees. The El Mago beach is still a place where you can enjoy the authentic charm of Mallorcan summers, and it’s one of the most famous nudist beaches on the island.

Caló des Moro

The cove Es Caló des Moro is one of the most famous beaches on Mallorca because of its spectacular beauty. It's a tiny cove, with only a very small area of sand at the foot of the cliff you descend to get to the water. It looks like a tongue of water jutting into rocks and cliffs, creating a spectacular scene with its transparent, turquoise waters. These features have led it to become one of the most photographed beaches in the world on Instagram.

Cala Deià

Many know this beach as the beach in the advert for Estrella Damm: Cala Deià is one of the most beautiful coves in the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. Located at the end of some truly impressive cliffs, with rocky seabed, crystal clear water and very gentle waves, the cove also features a couple of beach bars where you can have a drink or even a bite to eat. The sunset here is nothing short of spectacular.

Sa Calobra

Even if all the coves along the Serra de Tramuntana deserve to be visited, there is one spot here that always features among Mallorca's must-see places, hidden in one of its most inaccessible places: Sa Calobra. You can get here by boat from Port Sóller, but if you decide to go here by car or bus –prepare yourself for a very windy road with some of the world's most impressive turns. The trip here is definitely worth it, with a cove opening up to the sea between two huge cliffs at the end of a seasonal stream, a so-called torrente.

Cala Mesquida

Cala Mesquida is one of Mallorca's northern beaches that still retain their natural appearance, and a sense of calm. Oriented to the northeast, the light here is especially magical at dawn. Its sand dunes are some of the most beautiful on Mallorca and the location in the Natural Park of the Llevant Peninsula couldn't be better, making this an ideal place for nature lovers.

Playa de Muro

It's impossible to write a list of the best beaches on Mallorca without including the amazing Playa de Muro. This incredibly long sandy beach connects Alcudia with Can Picafort and is an oasis for visitors looking for sun and sea. Even if there are all sorts of services and hotels nearby, this beach is still a unique natural refuge. Its beach clubs and beachfront paella bars are also famous.

Playa de Alcudia

The beach of Alcúdia is 3.5 kilometres long and offers visitors fine sand and crystal-clear water. Es Carbó

Far from the hustle and bustle, Playa de Es Carbó is a true gem, found in the south of the island. White sand, very shallow water that is completely transparent and a natural setting that has not been touched by human hands. Having to hike for a while before you get here means it’s never very crowded.
